Rinder's journey is a testament to the strength of the human spirit and the enduring power of love. His story is a cautionary tale about the dangers of cults and a powerful reminder that even in the darkest of times, hope can prevail.
Life Before Scientology
Rinder was born into a loving and supportive family in Los Angeles, California. He had a happy childhood and excelled in school. After graduating from high school, Rinder attended college and studied business. In his early 20s, Rinder met and fell in love with a woman named Christie.
Rinder and Christie were married in 1981 and started a family together. They had two children, a son and a daughter. Rinder had a successful career in business and was well-respected in his community.
Joining Scientology
In 1982, Rinder was introduced to Scientology by a friend. He was intrigued by the church's promises of spiritual enlightenment and self-improvement. Rinder began taking Scientology courses and quickly became involved in the church.
At first, Rinder was impressed by Scientology. He felt that the church was helping him to become a better person. However, as he became more involved in the church, he began to see a darker side to Scientology.
Life Inside Scientology
Rinder quickly rose through the ranks of Scientology and became a high-ranking executive in the church. He was responsible for overseeing the church's public relations and media operations.
As a high-ranking executive, Rinder was privy to the church's inner workings. He saw firsthand the church's authoritarian leadership, its financial exploitation of members, and its suppression of dissent.
Rinder became increasingly disillusioned with Scientology. He began to question the church's teachings and its practices. He also began to fear for his own safety and the safety of his family.
Escape From Scientology
In 1993, Rinder finally made the decision to escape from Scientology. He knew that it would be dangerous, but he couldn't stand to be a part of the church any longer.
Rinder's escape was planned in secret. He knew that if the church found out about his plans, they would try to stop him. Rinder carefully planned his escape route and made sure that he had a safe place to go.
On the night of his escape, Rinder slipped out of his house and drove to a prearranged meeting
